SHAPES.

Yeah , it is SHAPES today.

We were requested by madam ling to bring scissors and glue to our lecture class this week.
So i was wondering what we gonna do this week .

AND

WHAT WE DID IS........

THIS!

yeah , i know it look terrible . =3=

We fold the paper and cut out the shapes.
The shapes that have been cut out have to paste to another piece of paper.(As shown as the first picture)

I KNOW
that some shapes in the first picture doesn't exist in the second one .

LET ME EXPLAIN WHY

It is because we did wrongly already .
We actually did a lot of tried cutting the shapes on other piece of paper and we accidentally mixed up all the shapes pieces.

So we have to do it again ...
but i forgot to take any picture of it .

In conclusion , no picture for the redo work.

That's all for today. BYE.

The use of pen tool in Adobe Illustrator

This week i have learned about using pen tool in AI to create Vector lines and shapes.

By selecting the pen tool , you can simply create vector lines and shapes as you like .

As the picture shown above , just open a new document , simply click on the white area and you can start creating lines and shapes. If you want straight line just click and click. If you want curved line click on the first time then click & drag (without releasing it) on the second time.

Example the lines that i had created

During the tutorial class , i wasn't really know how to use the pen tool and i find that it is hard to use. After i tried it and practice , i found out is quite easy to master it .

We were been given the task that creating a self-portrait using pen tool.
This is what i did.
First , set your portrait image as a template.

Create a new layer and start using pen tool to create lines accordingly.

After finishing creating lines , set layer 1 where your portrait image located at to invisible to view your work.

TADAAAAAA!!!! This is my final work .

And this is the original image.

P/S : i am aware that the lines and shapes that i created wasn't really perfect.

Vectorize an image

Basically what i gonna write today is about how to vectorize an image that i had learned in my computer graphic class.

First , you have to open your Adobe Illustrator software.

Then , Click File . Open . Pick any images that you would like to vectorize and it should be look like this.

Click on the image by Selection Tool and then click on image trace.

The result should be coming out like that.

By now , you have already vectorize your image!!
But if u do not like black and white result you can choose it through preset.

I chosen the 16 colors and the result turns out like this.

If you do not like the background and wish to take it out , click on the image and click Expand.

This function allows you to modified the whole image as you like by creating an outline for every single part in the image.
But first you have to click on the image and ungroup it first like what i shown to you below.

Then , you can use the direct selection tool to pick wherever part you like and press delete button is remove it .

TADA! THIS IS WHAT I DID.

Let's compare this with our previous raster images.

DONE!
